Spice Farm Tour

Day trip Half day Private From US$30
Overview

Crush a clove, smell a vanilla pod, taste a fresh nutmeg. A morning on a working spice farm outside Stone Town, with a lunch cooked with what you just picked.

Zanzibar was once the world’s clove island, and the farms are still there. A farmer walks you through the plantation and lets you find the spices in their natural form: cinnamon bark, cardamom pods, lemongrass, peppercorns and the fruits you will not see at home.

The tour ends with a simple Swahili lunch and a chance to buy spices straight from the farm.
