Out at sunrise from the fishing village of Kizimkazi to look for the bottlenose and humpback dolphins that live along the south coast, then a swim and a look round the old village.
The dolphins off Kizimkazi are wild and free, and the best time to see them is early. Your boat crew knows where they feed and keeps a respectful distance; when the pod is calm you can slip into the water with a mask.
Afterwards you visit the village and its old mosque, one of the oldest on the East African coast.
