1 Day Mikumi Fly-In Safari from Zanzibar

Safari 1 day Private From US$690
Overview

Breakfast by the sea, elephants by mid-morning. A light aircraft takes you from Zanzibar to Mikumi National Park for a full day of game drives, then flies you back for a late dinner on the island.

This is the fastest way to see wild Africa when your base is a beach. You fly out of Zanzibar after an early breakfast and land on a dirt airstrip inside Mikumi National Park, where your guide is waiting with an open-sided safari vehicle.

Mikumi sits on the same ecosystem as Nyerere, and its open Mkata floodplain makes animals easy to spot: elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, wildebeest and the lions that follow them. You picnic in the park, drive again in the afternoon and fly back to Zanzibar before dark.
