The classic Zanzibar sea day: a traditional dhow, snorkelling on the reef, a sandbank swim, a seafood feast on Kwale island and a sail home in the afternoon wind.
If you only do one thing on the water, make it this. It is a full day, lunch is a feast, and you see the best of Menai Bay in one go.
The Richstar Tour crewThis is the classic Zanzibar sea day. You sail out of Fumba on a wooden dhow into Menai Bay, a marine conservation area with clear water and healthy coral.
Snorkel on the reef, swim off a sandbank, look out for dolphins and then eat grilled fish, lobster (in season), rice and tropical fruit on Kwale island. If the tide is right you swim in a natural lagoon among the mangroves before the sail home.
