A day trip at the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro for travellers staying in Arusha or Moshi. It combines nature — Materuni Waterfalls and green landscapes — with Chagga culture and light adventure, and ends with a traditional coffee experience: from roasting the beans to tasting freshly brewed organic coffee.

  1. Jour 1Materuni Waterfalls and coffee farm

    Morning pick-up from your hotel in Arusha or Moshi and a scenic drive to Materuni Village. Meet your local guide, then walk through coffee farms and tropical forest to the waterfalls, with stops to learn about plants and Chagga culture. Relax and take photos at the falls — swimming in the natural pool is optional. Back in the village, follow the coffee from growing and harvesting to roasting and grinding, then taste it. Lunch (depending on your package) in the late afternoon, and the drive back in the evening.
