This short safari starts and ends in Arusha, the safari hub, and covers Tarangire, the Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti National Park. The highlight is the Wildebeest Migration in the Northern Serengeti, especially near the Mara River — adventure, comfort and expert guidance in five days.

  1. Jour 1Arusha to Tarangire National Park

    An early departure from Arusha to Tarangire, known for elephant herds and baobab trees. Look for lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest and birds, with a picnic lunch in the park, then drive to Karatu.

  2. Jour 2Ngorongoro Crater to the Central Serengeti

    After an early breakfast, descend into the crater: lions, elephants, buffalo, hippos, flamingos and, with luck, the rare black rhino. Then continue into the Serengeti, where the landscape opens onto wide plains.

  3. Jour 3Central Serengeti to the Northern Serengeti

    An early morning game drive in the Central Serengeti, good for lions, cheetahs and leopards. After breakfast, head north towards the migration and arrive in the afternoon.

  4. Jour 4Full-day game drive in the Northern Serengeti

    The highlight of the safari: large numbers of wildebeest gathering at the riverbanks, seasonal river crossings, and crocodiles and predators waiting nearby. Return to camp in the evening.

  5. Jour 5Flight from the Serengeti to Arusha

    After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for a scenic flight to Arusha with aerial views of the plains.
