   Our representative meets you at Kilimanjaro International Airport and takes you to the lodge. Later, your Kilimanjaro manager and guide hold a briefing and check your gear. The rest of the day is free.

2. Tag 2Machame Gate to Machame Camp

   Drive about two hours past villages, banana and coffee farms to Machame Gate. After the park formalities (porters carry up to 20 kg per person), trek through the rainforest — look for colobus and Sykes monkeys — into heathland. Temperatures can drop to freezing at night.

3. Tag 3Machame Camp to Shira Camp

   Heathland and moorland with Kilimanjaro views, lobelia, senecio, giant heather and erica.

4. Tag 4Shira Camp to Lava Tower and Barranco Camp

   Climb to Lava Tower, a volcanic plug over 300 feet tall at an exposed pass near 15,000 feet, for a packed lunch and acclimatisation — many climbers first feel the altitude here. Descend about two hours to Barranco Camp below the Breakfast Wall.

5. Tag 5Barranco Camp to Barafu Camp

   Climb the Barranco Wall (1–1.5 hours; an early start helps avoid crowds), with views of the Heim Glacier and Kibo on a clear day. Hot lunch at Karanga Camp, then on to Barafu.

6. Tag 6Summit day

   Wake before midnight and climb slowly — 'pole pole' — to the crater rim, then to Uhuru Peak at sunrise, the Roof of Africa. After photos and a rest, descend to Barafu for lunch and continue to Mweka Camp.

7. Tag 7Descent to Arusha

   Breakfast, a celebration with your crew, tipping and the certificate ceremony, then down to Mweka Gate and back to Arusha for a hot shower, rest and your safari briefing.

8. Tag 8Arusha to Lake Manyara and Lake Eyasi

   A game drive in Lake Manyara National Park, then a cultural visit to the Datoga tribe at Lake Eyasi.

9. Tag 9Lake Eyasi to the Serengeti

   An early-morning hunting experience with the Bushmen, then drive to the Serengeti through the Ngorongoro highlands.

10. Tag 10A full day in the Serengeti

    A full-day game drive with sunrise and sunset safari moments.
